E-UP, the car of tomorrow

The largest German car company, Volkswagen presented the first official details of the E-up car that hopes to impose on the electric car market.

According to the manufacturer, E-ups are the perfect image of "car of tomorrow" and the market launch is expected to do most likely in 2011.

Electric engine gives a surprising power, for 82CP, the Germans announced the speed of 135 km / h, more than enough for a small car. Less efficient, is the battery life autonomy, only 130 km.

However, the advantage of batteries used by VW reside in loading speed, 5 hour on a normal cycle, or 30 minutes for fast loading. Another asset is the price, 8500 euros according to the first information.
