Volvo announced today that it is ready for the delivery of the first 10 Volvo C30 DRIVe Electric. The happy owner will be the Goteborg Energi, a power company.
Volvo C30 DRIVe Electric looks like any other Volvo C30 model and includes the same options for safety, comfort and space. The difference is that the model is set in movement only by an electric motor. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 10.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 130 km/h (81 mph). Autonomy is up to 150 km (93 miles) with one battery.
Volvo C30 DRIVe Electric Project currently comprises around 250 cars. According to representatives of Volvo Cars, if demand continues to grow, the project will be implemented in series production.
