The 169 is the top sell car of Italian car producer Alfa Romeo, a Fiat Group division. The first official pictures show a slight change of design direction, but maintained its front grille style, that anyone can recognize at distance that it is an Alfa Romeo car.
As expected, the alliance between Fiat Group and Chrysler led the Americans to put together the plants and current and future platforms. According to officials, the new 169 is built on the platform of the current Chrysler 300C.
Direct competitors of the new model will mark the premium class with four-door and coupe, few examples of this competitor are the Mercedes Benz CLS and the Audi A5 Sportback. In regards of the engine, the smallest propeller could be a petrol or diesel V6, while the top diesel engine will be based on a 540 horse power V8.
