Porsche has officially launched the Targa version of the new Porsche 911. he new model will be available in Targa 4 and Targa 4S versions. Considered perhaps the most attractive in terms of design, the Targa stands out with its automatically removable roof. The converting operation, at speeds of up to 50 km / h, takes 19 seconds.
It is the third body version available for the new 992 generation, after the Coupe and Cabriolet models. Porsche has been offering a Targa version for the 911 since 1965.
The 911 Targa shares the same technical specifications with the other 911 versions: a 3-liter six-cylinder turbo boxer engine with 385 horsepower and 450 Newtons-meter (for the 911 Targa 4), respectively 450 horsepower and 530 Newton-meters (for the Targa 4S). Power is sent to all four wheels via the PDK automatic transmission. The Porsche 911 Targa 4S can also be ordered with a seven-speed manual transmission, which now possesses the Sport Chrono Package. Another novelty for the 911 Targa is the InnoDrive adaptive autopilot.
For good braking power, the 19-inch wheels on the front and the 20-inch wheels on the rear axle have 330 mm (in the case of the Targa 4) and 350 mm (for the Targa 4S) brake discs. The optional carbon-ceramic discs are available for both engine versions.
The Porsche Targa 4 version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds. The maximum speed is 289 km / h. For the Targa 4S version, the sprint from 0 to 100 km / h is done in 3.6 seconds. The maximum speed that can be reached is 304 km / h.
