As part of an evolution, Audi Sport GmbH is boosting the sportiness of the Audi RS 4 Avant and Audi RS 5. The new competition package is loaded with extras that refine the cars' appearance and make the driving experience more emotional. With its new optional air suspension (RS Sport Suspension Pro), the Competition package plus offers maximum dynamism and driving pleasure without compromising its suitability for everyday use. In addition, the Audi RS 4 Avant and RS 5 will thrill customers with a high-level sound experience thanks to new sound insulation between the engine compartment and the passenger compartment. The powerful twin-turbo V6 develops an output of 331 kW (443 hp) and a torque of 600 Nm from 1,900 rpm to 5,000 rpm (combined consumption in l/100 km: 8.8-8.7; combined emissions of CO2 in g/km: 201-199).

The 2022 Audi RS 4 Avant and Audi RS 5 with competition packages will be available from dealerships from July. In Germany, prices start at 7,870 euros for the competition package and 11,870 euros for the competition plus package. The competition pack will be available soon and only on the Audi RS 4 Avant.

Although focused on increased driving pleasure, the RS Sport Suspension Pro air suspension offers a manually adjustable piloted suspension for an ideal balance between comfort and performance. Thanks to this, even the longest distances can be covered comfortably with all available assistance systems and without any limitations. Customers who choose the RS Sport Suspension Pro will receive their Audi RS 4 Avant or RS 5 from the factory with a 10mm lower ride height than the standard RS models. In addition, customers can manually lower the ride height and an additional 10mm for an overall ride height 20mm lower than the production standard.

Higher spring rates, 3-stage adjustable dampers, and stiffer stabilizers improve the overall driving experience and help reduce lap times. The result: customers benefit from a more precise and agile behavior. Both Competition packs also offer an increased top speed of 290 km/h.

Audi RS 5 Coupe

The 2022 Audi RS 4 Avant with the competition package plus reaches 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, an improvement of 0.2 seconds over the production model. The Audi RS 5 Coupé or RS 5 Sportback (combined consumption in l/100 km: 8.8-8.7; combined CO 2 emissions in g/km: 201-199) sprints in 3.8 seconds, an improvement of 0.1 seconds.

The gear ratio is fixed at 1:13.1. Audi Sport GmbH has created flawless handling and even better road-holding with all these improvements. The improved quattro sport differential ensures increased agility and driving pleasure, especially with the dynamic driving mode. In addition, the updated gearbox control unit software, which is only available in conjunction with the competition packages, reduces gearshift times and significantly improves the distribution between different driving modes.

Developed especially for the competition packages, Audi Sport GmbH presents the new RS sport plus exhaust system with matt black tailpipes. The result is a more intense sound, not only through the exhaust system itself but also through new insulation between the engine compartment and the passenger compartment. This modification also allows the car's weight to be reduced by about 8kg. Furthermore, careful tuning of the engine control unit software enables tighter shifts in S-mode when dynamic drive selection is activated within Audi drive select.

The competition and competition plus packs feature eye-catching innovations in the cabin: the side panels of the seats shine in piano black. In addition, a Dynamica / Pearl Nappa leather combination is available as an option for the standard seats in the RS range. The Dynamica fabric is made from 45% recycled PET fibers; approximately 215 grams of PET fibers are processed per seat. The four rings on the bonnet and tailgate and the model lettering underline the sporty character with their glossy black finish.

For the first time on the Audi RS 4 Avant and RS 5, the exterior is now available in a matching Sebring Black crystal effect finish. Customers who want to further emphasize the sporty look of their RS 4 Avant or RS 5 can purchase high-gloss competition rims in phantom black. On request and at an additional cost, Audi will match the fully machined 20-inch rims with high-performance Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires designed for both the road and the circuit. Audi Matrix LED headlights are standard on the Audi RS 5; they illuminate the road with laser light.

The Competition Trim Pack completes the Audi RS 4 Avant and the Audi RS 5, incorporating the exclusive matt carbon optics pack, including components such as the exterior mirrors, the front blade, and the side flaps, as well as the sill extension and the rear diffuser trim, are in matt carbon; all other components in gloss black.

Audi offers the exclusive high-gloss carbon package as an option for an additional fee. Furthermore, as an exclusive alternative to the competition packages, the package is also available in matt carbon.

The Audi RS 4 Avant is available for 86,000 euros. The Audi RS 5 Coupé and the Audi RS 5 Sportback are available for 87,000 euros each. The competition pack costs 7,870 euros; the competition plus package costs 11,870 euros. @via Audi Sport GmbH.
