The BMW M brand, which denotes the company's most athletic offerings, turns 50 this year. So you can also count on seeing the brand-new BMW M2 there. The final testing phase of the all-new BMW M2 is wrapping up with only a few months left until the world premiere. As with the original generation, the new one will provide unadulterated fun behind the wheel in a space-saving package, perfect for everyday commuting or letting loose on the racetrack.

In terms of performance, the all-new BMW M2 is on par with the previous BMW M2 CS. BMW's 6-cylinder engine, also used in the BMW M3 and BMW M4, is the power source. The transmission options for the customers are either an automatic 8-speed M Steptronic or manual 6-speed transmission. The rear-wheel-drive and adaptive M chassis contribute to the sporty character.

The 2023 BMW M2 is temporarily wrapped in plastic, but underneath that is a sporty design with BMW M's signature details. Carbon roofs and M-bucket seats are available as add-ons through the menu system. To rephrase: lighter load, brighter future.

The all-new BMW M2 will debut at the Tokyo Motor Show in October, with sales beginning in April of 2023.
