Corvette C7

General Motors has announced that the Corvette C7 will be complete for production in 2012 and will be launched as a 2013 model. The details of the Corvette C7 are very limited, but we do know the new model will have a front-engine rear-wheel-drive layout regardless of rumors saying it will be mid-engine.

Corvette C7

The Corvette C7 is projected to be more highly developed than the current C6, lighter and probably extra powerful. As far as the styling goes, most sources imply the Corvette C7 will use a number of lines from the Stingray Concept which was introduced at Chicago Auto Show. If it looks recognizable is because the car was also featured in the Transformers 2 movie.

The Corvette C7 is likely to output around 450 hp and to be priced in the 35,000 USD - 45,000 USD range.
