Ferrari 499P Modificata: The Ultimate Track Toy for Ferrari Lovers

Ferrari 499P Modificata

If you are a Ferrari enthusiast passionate about racing and a deep pocket, you might be interested in the latest creation from the Italian marque: the Ferrari 499P Modificata. This is a limited-series sports prototype that is designed for non-competitive use on the track but not homologated for any racing series. It is based on the Ferrari 488 GT3 and Ferrari 488 GTE race cars but with some modifications that make it even more extreme and exclusive.

What is the Ferrari 499P Modificata?

The name Ferrari 499P Modificata means “modified” in Italian, and it reflects the fact that any technical or sporting regulations do not bind this car. It is a product of Ferrari’s Corse Clienti department, which offers tailor-made services and experiences for Ferrari customers who want to enjoy their cars on the track. The Ferrari 499P Modificata is part of the XX Programme, which includes other track-only models such as the FXX-K Evo and the FXX.

Ferrari 499P Modificata

The Ferrari 499P Modificata is powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers over 700 horsepower. This is more than the 488 GT3 and 488 GTE, which are restricted by the balance of performance rules in their respective racing categories. The engine is paired with a six-speed sequential gearbox that can be operated by paddle shifters behind the steering wheel. The car also features a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis, a racing suspension system, and a high-performance braking system with carbon-ceramic discs. Ferrari does not officially disclose the top speed of the Ferrari 499P Modificata, but it is estimated to be over 220 miles per hour.

The Ferrari 499P Modificata has a distinctive aerodynamic design that the 488 GTE inspires, but with some enhancements that improve its downforce and stability. The front bumper has a large splitter and two side flicks, while the rear diffuser has four vertical fences and a central fin. The rear wing is adjustable and has a swan-neck support that reduces the interference with the airflow. The car also has a roof scoop that feeds air to the engine and improves its cooling efficiency.

The Ferrari 499P Modificata has a minimalist interior that is focused on functionality and safety. The driver’s seat is made of carbon fiber and has a six-point harness. The dashboard has a digital display that shows all the relevant information and data, such as speed, lap times, tire pressure, and engine temperature. The steering wheel has several buttons and switches that allow the driver to control various aspects of the car, such as the traction control, ABS, engine mapping, and brake balance.

Ferrari 499P Modificata

How much does the Ferrari 499P Modificata cost?

The Ferrari 499P Modificata is not a cheap car by any means. It is estimated to cost around $2.5 million, which is more than twice as much as the road-legal Ferrari SF90 Stradale, which has a similar power output. However, this price does not include only the car itself but also some exclusive benefits and services that come with it.

As part of the XX Programme, the owners of the Ferrari 499P Modificata will have access to:

  • A dedicated team of engineers and mechanics who will take care of their car and provide technical support
  • A personalized training program with professional drivers who will help them improve their driving skills
  • A calendar of events and track days at some of the most prestigious circuits around the world
  • A special app that will allow them to monitor their car’s performance and telemetry data
  • A membership in an exclusive club of Ferrari enthusiasts who share their passion for racing

Why did Ferrari create the Ferrari 499P Modificata?

The Ferrari 499P Modificata is not a car that is meant for mass production or commercial success. It is a car that is meant for a select group of customers who have a special relationship with Ferrari and who want to experience its racing heritage and technology in an uncompromised way. It is also a car that showcases Ferrari’s innovation and creativity in developing high-performance vehicles that push the boundaries of engineering and design.

Ferrari 499P Modificata

According to Antonello Coletta, Head of Ferrari Attività Sportive GT:

“The Ferrari 499P Modificata opens up an additional area of interest for our clients who want to experience driving a car that is not homologated for any championship but which is instead designed to be driven on tracks around the world. The 499P Modificata is the ultimate expression of Ferrari’s concept of an extreme sports car, one that is uncompromising and completely free of any restrictions in terms of technology and design. It is a car that will allow our clients to unleash their passion for driving and enjoy themselves to the fullest.”

The Ferrari 499P Modificata is a car that is not for everyone, but for those who can afford and appreciate it, it is a dream come true. It is a car that combines the best of Ferrari’s racing DNA and its road-going expertise, creating a unique and thrilling machine that will make every lap an unforgettable experience. It is a car that is not just a track toy but a masterpiece of engineering and art. It is a car that is worthy of the Ferrari name.

The Ferrari 499P Modificata is a track-only car that is not homologated for any racing series, so it does not have to comply with any technical or sporting regulations. It is a sports car that is designed to offer the ultimate performance and driving experience for Ferrari enthusiasts who want to enjoy their passion for racing on the track.
