Lancia Pu-Ra HPE: The Electric Car That Revives a Legendary Brand

Lancia Pu-Ra HPE

Lancia is a name that evokes passion, elegance, and innovation in the automotive world. For decades, the Italian brand has produced some of history's most iconic and distinctive cars, such as the Stratos, the Delta Integrale, and the Thesis. However, in recent years, Lancia has been reduced to a single model, the Lancia Ypsilon, sold only in its home market.

But that is about to change. Lancia is back with a bang, and it has brought a new electric car that promises to redefine the segment: the Lancia Pu-Ra HPE. This concept vehicle, which stands for Pure-Retro Hybrid Electric, is a tribute to the past and a vision for the future. It combines the classic design cues of the Lancia Beta HPE, a sporty shooting brake from the 1970s, with the latest technology and performance of an electric drivetrain.

Lancia Pu-Ra HPE

The Lancia Pu-Ra HPE is not just a nostalgic exercise, but a bold statement of intent. Lancia is preparing to return to some of its most important markets in Europe, such as Germany and Spain, where it has been absent for years. The Pu-Ra HPE is the perfect ambassador for this comeback, as it showcases the brand’s values of style, innovation, and sustainability.

The Lancia Pu-Ra HPE is powered by a 150 kW (201 hp) electric motor that delivers 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque to the front wheels. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph). The battery pack has a capacity of 60 kWh, allowing a 400 km (249 miles) range on a single charge. The electric car also supports fast charging, which can replenish 80% of the battery in 30 minutes.

Lancia Pu-Ra HPE

The exterior design of the Pu-Ra HPE is a modern reinterpretation of the Beta HPE, with some subtle changes to adapt to the electric platform. The car retains the distinctive silhouette of a shooting brake, with a long hood, a sloping roofline, and a short rear overhang. The front fascia features the signature Lancia grille with chrome bars and LED headlights that resemble the original round units. The sleek and dynamic side profile has pronounced wheel arches and chrome trim. The rear end is dominated by LED taillights that span across the tailgate and echo the rear window's shape. The car also sports a dual-tone paint scheme, with a white body and a black roof.

The interior of the Pu-Ra HPE is a blend of retro charm and modern functionality. The Beta HPE’s wooden panel inspires the dashboard, but it incorporates a 12-inch touchscreen that controls the infotainment system and other functions. The instrument cluster is also digital, with a 10-inch display showing the driver's relevant information. The seats are upholstered in leather and Alcantara, with contrast stitching and Lancia logos. The steering wheel and gear selector are also wrapped in leather, with chrome accents. Thanks to the generous dimensions and flexible layout, the car offers ample space for four passengers and their luggage.

The Lancia Pu-Ra HPE is more than just a concept electric car. It is a preview of what Lancia has in store for its fans and customers in the near future. The brand plans to launch three new models by 2027, all based on electric or hybrid platforms. The first will be a compact crossover, a mid-size sedan, and a large SUV. All these models will share the same DNA as the Pu-Ra HPE: elegant design, advanced technology, and eco-friendly performance.

Lancia Pu-Ra HPE

The Lancia Pu-Ra HPE is not only an electric car that revives a legendary brand. It is also an electric car that makes sense for today’s world. It offers style without compromise, innovation without complexity, and sustainability without sacrifice. It is an electric car that appeals to both the heart and the mind.

If you want to see this amazing vehicle in person, you can catch it on tour in Germany and Spain this summer. The Lancia Pu-Ra HPE will visit some of the most emblematic cities and locations in these countries, such as Berlin, Munich, Madrid, Barcelona, and more. You can also follow its journey on social media using #LanciaPuRaHPE.

Don’t miss this opportunity to witness history in the making. The Lancia Pu-Ra HPE is here to stay.
