The new BMW M 1000 RR with 212Hp from 44,990 euro

BMW M 1000 RR

The M RR is based on BMW Motorrad’s S 1000 RR. The power of the BMW M 1000 RR has been increased to 156kW / 212hp and the weight has been reduced to 192 kg. Suspension and aerodynamics have been increased to maximize track performance.

The M RR model's water-cooled four-cylinder engine has been converted into a full-blooded racing engine that is more powerful than a conventional RR engine. The combustion chamber has been modified, and the new exhaust system is made from titanium. The compression ratio has been raised to 13.5.

The goal of the aerodynamic development work was extreme speed and maximizing tire grip, especially when accelerating. The carbon fiber wings of the wheel bow were developed in track tests and in a wind tunnel. The airflow through them presses the entire wheel against the ground, which improves tire grip. This enhances acceleration and makes it easier to control.

For the first time, the new model uses M-series brakes. The brake calipers have an anodized blue surface and M-logo, and the carbon-fiber rims are M-series.

The instrument cluster is similar to the RR model with the M-series start-up animation. The optional M competition package can be used to collect data from the motorcycle for analysis of your own ride. The package includes the M GPS laptrigger application as well as a lighter rear fork, a maintenance-free chain and a passenger package.

The recommended price for the new BMW M 1000 RR is EUR 44,990. It will go on sale in April-June next year.
