Hyundai has unveiled its latest electric vehicle, the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in England. The Ioniq 5 N is the first N model based on a dedicated EV platform, and it aims to set a new benchmark for high-performance EVs and driving fun.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is based on the Ioniq 5, Hyundai's first model built on the E-GMP platform that offers fast charging, long range, and spacious interior. The Ioniq 5 N takes the design and technology of the Ioniq 5 to the next level with enhanced performance, handling, and styling.
Performance and Handling
The 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is powered by a dual-motor system that delivers 320 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque combined. The Ioniq 5 N can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 5.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N also features a range of driving modes, including Eco, Normal, Sport, Sport+, and Custom. Each mode adjusts the power delivery, steering response, suspension stiffness, and sound enhancement to suit different driving situations and preferences.

Hyundai has not announced the pricing and availability of the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N yet, but it is expected to go on sale in select markets in late 2023 or early 2024. The Ioniq 5 N will compete with other high-performance EVs, such as the Tesla Model Y Performance, the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT, and the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX.
