The new GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition can't be just a visual package, Nissan also offers some performance improvements.

The horsepower remains the same, the 565 for the standard model and 600 for the Track Edition and the GT-R Nismo, but the 3.8-liter V6 engine has new turbines to help with the efficiency.

The "R" mode of the racing version has been rebuilt for a smoother gear change and the suspension has been modified for better cornering stability. Moreover, a titanium exhaust system deals with the elimination of noxes.

In the interior, this special model comes with a gray color scheme, with a unique steering wheel, with a new gearshift, emphatic seats and Alcantara leather on the ceiling and on the sun visor.

Nissan has not yet provided information about the prices or the validity of this GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition or the new GT-R 2020 models.

Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition

"The Nissan GT-R has been the icon of our company's driving performance for the past half century," said Shinichiro Irie, program design director for the GT-R. "We were highly motivated to ensure that the GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition stands out. While the exterior and interior changes may seem subtle at first glance, they're still impactful, especially with the new paint schemes, keeping the car's lines and overall presence modern and edgy."
