The new rechargeable hybrid Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross PHEV has upgraded its design with a new and elegant sporty SUV look and increased comfort. In addition to the modern exterior and the comfortable and smart interior, the Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC) ensures very good manoeuvrability and control even in difficult driving conditions.

The front has been given a further developed expression of Mitsubishi's Dynamic Shield concept, which is intended to symbolize strength and safety. A new front bumper protection and an updated light layout complement the front design with a bold and dynamic look. The new tailgate has a sharply shaped hexagonal design, and mixes the elegant style with an SUV's robustness and reliability.

Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross PHEV

The interior of the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross PHEV rechargeable hybrid SUV invites you to a comfortable ride, and the upgrades to the new model contribute to this. A new 8-inch smartphone link audio system (SDA) is supplied as standard. The screen has been moved closer to the driver and passenger in the front seat for easy use, and now contains volume and rotary knobs for quick and easy operation.

The new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross hybrid SUV is equipped with the same twin-engine 4WD PHEV system as Outlander PHEV. The system is of course modified specifically for the size and weight of the Eclipse Cross chassis. The unique PHEV architecture consists of 2 powerful electric motors; one in front and one behind. In addition, it has a high-capacity propulsion battery and a 2.4-liter MIVEC engine also available on the Outlander PHEV. The car has a setup that provides fast and good acceleration. The system automatically adjusts based on three different driving modes to suit different conditions: EV, series hybrid or parallel hybrid.

The new PHEV version of the Japanese SUV will be marketed in certain European markets starting in the first part of 2021.
