The Jeep Wrangler is more than just a vehicle. It is a symbol of freedom, adventure, and heritage that has captivated drivers worldwide for over 80 years. From its origins as the rugged Willys MB that helped the Allies win World War II to its modern incarnation as the most capable and versatile SUV on the market, the Wrangler has always stayed true to its core values of authenticity, passion, and innovation.

Now, the Jeep brand is proud to present the 2024 Jeep Wrangler to the European market, bringing a new level of performance, technology, and sustainability to the legendary model. The new Wrangler is designed to meet the diverse needs and preferences of European customers, offering a range of powertrain options, including the first-ever plug-in hybrid variant, advanced safety and connectivity features, and enhanced off-road capability that sets it apart from any other SUV in its class.

The Iconic Jeep Design with a Modern Twist

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler retains the iconic Jeep design cues that have made it instantly recognizable and beloved by millions of fans. The seven-slot grille, round headlights, trapezoidal wheel arches, removable doors and roof, and exposed hinges are all part of the Wrangler’s DNA, reflecting its heritage and personality.

At the same time, the new Wrangler introduces some modern updates that improve its aerodynamics, comfort, and efficiency. The windshield is more raked than before, reducing wind noise and drag. The hood features air vents that help cool the engine and optimize airflow. The tailgate has a larger rear window that improves visibility and a lightweight aluminum construction that reduces weight. The LED lighting system provides better illumination and visibility in all conditions.

The new Jeep Wrangler also features a full-float Dana rear axle, a first for the model, that increases its durability and traction on rough terrain. The full-float axle distributes the vehicle’s weight evenly across both wheels, reducing stress on the axle shafts and bearings. This allows the Wrangler to handle heavier loads and more extreme off-road situations with ease.

The new Jeep Wrangler is available in two trim levels: Sahara and Rubicon. The Sahara model offers a refined and luxurious interior, with standard 12-way power front seats, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen radio with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Rubicon model is the ultimate off-road machine, with a Rock-Trac 4x4 system, Tru-Lok electronic locking differentials, electronic sway bar disconnect, front and rear steel bumpers, rock rails, skid plates, and 33-inch all-terrain tires.

The First-Ever Plug-In Hybrid Wrangler

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler also marks a milestone in the Jeep brand’s electrification strategy, which aims to offer an electrified variant of every model by 2025 before becoming an EV-only brand in Europe by 2030. The new Wrangler introduces the 4xe plug-in hybrid powertrain to the European market, making it the most eco-friendly and sustainable Wrangler ever.

The 4xe system combines a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors and a 400-volt lithium-ion battery pack, delivering a total output of 380 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The 4xe system can operate in three modes: Hybrid, Electric, and eSave. In Hybrid mode, the system blends power from the engine and electric motor, using battery power first. In Electric mode, the system runs on pure electric power for up to 31 miles in the WLTP city cycle. In eSave mode, the system preserves battery charge for later use.

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe offers zero-emission freedom without compromising on the Wrangler’s legendary off-road capability and open-air fun. The electric motor provides instant torque and smooth acceleration, while the engine provides additional power when needed. The battery pack is located under the rear seat, protected by a steel casing that does not affect the interior space or cargo capacity. The battery can be recharged using a standard outlet or a fast-charging station.

The new Jeep Wrangler 4xe also features a unique exterior design that distinguishes it from other Wrangler models. The 4xe badge is displayed on both front fenders and on the tailgate. The electric blue accents on the tow hooks, badges, stitching, and hood decal highlight its electrified nature. The charging port is located on the left front fender.

The New Benchmark for Off-Road Performance

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler is not only more efficient and sustainable than ever before; it is also more capable and versatile than any other SUV in its segment. The new Wrangler offers unmatched off-road performance thanks to its proven 4x4 systems, high ground clearance, generous approach, break-over and departure angles, and best-in-class water fording capability.

2024 Jeep Wrangler

The new Jeep Wrangler features two 4x4 systems: Command-Trac and Rock-Trac. The Command-Trac system is standard on the Sahara model and features a two-speed transfer case with a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio and a 3.45:1 rear axle ratio. The Command-Trac system provides optimal traction and control on any terrain, from sand to snow. The Rock-Trac system is exclusive to the Rubicon model and features a two-speed transfer case with a 4.0:1 low-range gear ratio and a 4.10:1 rear axle ratio. The Rock-Trac system provides superior off-road performance, especially on rocks, hills, and mud.

The new Jeep Wrangler also features the Tru-Lok electronic locking differentials, which lock the front and rear axles together to provide maximum traction on slippery or uneven surfaces. The electronic sway bar disconnect allows the front wheels to drop and compress up to 25 percent more, increasing the Wrangler’s articulation and suspension travel. The Selec-Speed Control system allows the driver to set a constant speed between 1 and 5 mph, enabling the Wrangler to crawl over obstacles with ease.

The new Jeep Wrangler has a ground clearance of 10.8 inches, an approach angle of 44 degrees, a breakover angle of 22.6 degrees, and a departure angle of 37 degrees. These dimensions allow the Wrangler to overcome any obstacle in its path without damaging its body or undercarriage. The new Wrangler can also ford water up to 30 inches deep, thanks to its high air intake, sealed electrical connections, and moisture-resistant body openings.

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler: A New Icon for Europe

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler will arrive in European dealerships in the first half of 2024. Pricing will be announced closer to the market launch. The new Wrangler will face competition from other SUVs, such as the Land Rover Defender, the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser, and the Ford Bronco.

However, none of these rivals can match the new Wrangler’s unique combination of style, performance, and sustainability. The new Wrangler is a vehicle that can handle any challenge, whether it is driving on the highway, exploring the countryside, or tackling the toughest trails. It is a vehicle that offers unlimited possibilities for adventure and fun while respecting the environment and reducing emissions.

2024 Jeep Wrangler

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler is a testament to the Jeep brand’s heritage and innovation, offering a new icon for Europe that will appeal to both loyal fans and new customers who are looking for an adventure-ready vehicle that can do it all.
