Replacing the oil and oil filter in your bike are very important tasks, and are central to any service. What many people don’t know is that the job can be done quite easily from home, even with limited tools, for a fraction of the price of having it done at a mechanic.
- Drive the bike for a couple of minutes just to make sure the oil is flowing.
- Allow the engine too cool down so that you can work on it.

- Fill a measuring jug with the correct amount and type of oil.
- Unscrew the filler cap, and pour in the oil.
- Wipe the area clean and replace the filler cap.
