A new supersport, Yamaha YZF-R1

The new Yamaha YZF-R1 represents a new step towards technology is one of the best in class supersport 1000 cmc. In the design of this new technology has made a radical change, a breakthrough technology MotoGP-derived short-stroke engine with crossplane crankshaft that delivers uneven firing intervals. Secrecy is not a new engine in the higher horsepower, but in an accelerator "line" that will feel the connection between rider and bike. This model R1 system already uses a revolutionary crossplane a crankshaft with MotoGP-style firing range (270 ° - 180 ° - 90 ° - 180 °) which allows the rider to feel the power that a supersport give.

Yamaha YZF-R1 To create such a technology they have found the best engineers to create something realy special. Engineers had redesign the lightweight die-cast aluminum frame spars and Deltabox Truss-type swingarm with ideal rigidity balance for maximum traction and some cornering feel safe. R1 is the new suspension help can be set for running on the highway and the circuit.

The exterior design is very special, starting from lights in the snake eyes to the back of the engine that displays two drums exhaust in triangle shape and a back 190/55R tyre.
Yamaha motorcycleEngine 4 cylinders and 4 valve liquid cooled will develop a maximum power of 133.9 kW (182 PS) -12500 rpm at a torque of 115.5 Nm engine.

New chassis for Yamaha YZF-R1 will be made of aluminum front suspension Deltabox being formed of a telescopic fork with 43 mm diameter and far from being back Swingarm type. As a supersport, R1 will be equipped with brakes as such: front brake will be formed of two discs with a diameter of 310 mm and the rear brake of a single 220 mm disc.

Weighing 206 kg including full oil (3.7 l) and fuel tank (18 l) and some relative small size (overall width: 715 mm, height 1130 mm, length 2070 mm) certainly Yamaha YZF-R1 is an engine for the race circuit.
The price of such new technologies would be around 15 000 euro, this model  being already for sale.
