Nissan brought open-air nostalgia to Phoenix on September 23, debuting the Nissan Z Kaze concept at 2026 ZCON. Its recipe combines a custom T-top roof, period NISMO wheels, and modern twin-turbo hardware. The catch: Nissan offers no production version for purchase.
T-Tops Give the Z a Different Mission
Kaze means wind in Japanese. Pacific Teal paint, a vented carbon-fiber hood, fender flares, and carbon-fiber bodywork establish the visual direction. Inside, white leather-appointed seats and Bose Personal Plus headrest speakers support the open-air theme.
