The all-new Toyota Yaris Cross hybrid SUV with the Adventure equipment differs significantly from the Elegant equipment that was shown at the world premiere in 2020. The Adventure equipment is designed with an active lifestyle in mind, it's for customers who want to travel out of the city to explore new roads and new destinations. The new Toyota Yaris Cross Adventure has a more solid look with protection plates both in front and under the rear bumper. Silver-coloured roof rails and 18-inch aluminium rims with a dark grey finish are standard equipment.

In the cabin, details in piano black are applied, also the roof panel is black. The large seats are upholstered with imitation leather in a separate design and a decorative strip in the signature colour for Yaris Cross, called Warm Gold, is stretched over the door panels on both sides via the upholstered dashboard. The steering wheel and the gear lever are upholstered in leather.

The new Toyota Yaris Cross Premiere Edition is an upgraded version of Adventure equipment with leather-covered seats and specially designed 18-inch aluminium rims. Furthermore, this model has an electrically operated rear door with sensors that allow for foot control, windscreen projection and two-tone paint as standard equipment. The Premiere Edition will be on sale for one year.

The Toyota Yaris Cross is built on the same TNGA-B platform as the new Toyota Yaris 5-door. But the Yaris Cross has a higher seating position and greater ground clearance. It thus appears as a true SUV in line with Toyota's C-HR and RAV4.

The Toyota Yaris Cross comes as a hybrid based on a 3-cylinder petrol engine with Atkinson cycle in combination with an electric motor, the result is 116hp.

The Yaris Cross is the only small hybrid SUV to come with the AWD-i system that automatically shifts from front-wheel drive to four-wheel drive depending on road conditions. This ensures that Toyota Yaris Cross customers get both better accessibility and higher security. The intelligent AWD-i system is compact, light, and electric to not ruin the Yaris Cross' fuel economy.

The Toyota Yaris Cross provides a seamless network connection via Toyota Smart Connect. Navigation is easy on the 9-inch multimedia monitor. Map updates are retrieved in real-time from the cloud. There is access to ongoing traffic information, roadside events, and web searches for sights and places of interest.

Toyota Teammate is an advanced parking assistance system that makes it easier and safer to park in busy city streets and tight parking spaces. The system helps drivers with intuitive controls on the high-resolution multimedia monitor. The semi-automatic parking function ensures fast parking and fewer manoeuvres by using the car's 360 ° degree panoramic camera to guide the car in place without the driver assistance with the steering wheel, accelerator pedal or braking. In addition to the panoramic camera, the semi-automatic parking system is combined with a blind-spot monitor.

The Toyota Yaris Cross is designed for European customers and is manufactured at Toyota's plant in Valenciennes, France. Toyota Yaris Cross can be ordered right now, while official sales and the first deliveries start in September 2021.
