According to research by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), widespread adoption of ESC could prevent up to 10,000 fatal vehicle crashes each year.

The Elantra has also received excellent safety ratings, including a five-star frontal and four-star side crash rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in the compact passenger car segment. In the IIHS's frontal offset test, the Elantra earned a "Good" rating, the Institute's highest accolade. With the addition of a standard Tire Pressure Monitoring System and a comprehensive set of airbags, the Elantra offers a safe and secure driving experience.

In terms of design, the 2010 Elantra exudes confidence and style. With its chrome headlight bezels, waterfall chrome grille, and chrome rear trim, the Elantra makes a premium statement. The Elantra's suspension and steering systems have been carefully tuned to deliver a comfortable ride and responsive handling. Hyundai offers three trim levels for the 2010 Hyundai Elantra, catering to different preferences and budgets. The Hyundai Advantage includes a five-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper protection, a 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty, and seven-year/unlimited mileage anti-perforation coverage. Additionally, 24-hour roadside assistance coverage is included for five years, further enhancing the ownership experience.
