Jaguar celebrates the legendary F-TYPE sports car

Jagur F-TYPE sports car

The Jaguar F-TYPE is the top of Jaguar's sports car lineup, which includes some of the most legendary vehicles in automotive history and has been in production for 75 years. The Jaguar F-TYPE, available in both Coupé and Cabriolet forms, strikes a fine mix between spectacular performance and driving pleasure thanks to its powerful, confident exterior design and cabin featuring sumptuous materials, precise craftsmanship, and beautiful detailing.

Beginning in 2023, the final year of production, the lineup has been narrowed and streamlined to make it easier for buyers to select the ideal Jaguar F-TYPE. With 20 tires, the car is more assured than ever "wheels as standard on all models, along with other modest changes, such as the color of the R and R-Dynamic logo, which have changed from red and green to black and gray.

Jagur F-TYPE

The Jaguar F-TYPE 75 and Jaguar F-TYPE R 75 are new special editions for the F-final TYPE's production year. They have a one-of-a-kind exterior and interior design, carefully chosen features, and, of course, the legendary F-TYPE supercharged 5.0-liter Jaguar V8 engine. Before Jaguar transitions to being an all-electric in 2025, these limited edition versions are a fitting tribute to the internal combustion engine's performance.

Chief Exterior Designer of Jaguar Land Rover, Matthew Beaven, said: "Jaguar has been making high-quality sports cars that drivers can enjoy for 75 years because of their reputation for performance, agility, and fun. Before Jaguar becomes fully electric in 2025, the Special Editions of the F-TYPE remain true to these values by including exclusive design features inside and out."

The Jaguar F-TYPE is the pinnacle of Jaguar's 75-year-long sports car lineage and looks as striking as ever. Jaguar's rich sports car history began with the XK120, released in 1948 as the world's fastest production car, and is referenced by the focused and confident design, which alludes to the flowing lines of earlier Jaguar models.

The J-signature daytime running lights, dynamic indicators, and super-slim LED headlights with Pixel technology that comes standard draw attention to the vehicle's width and hint at its performance capabilities. They go great with the "liquid metal" surface of the hood, which gracefully curves backward in homage to classic models like the C and D-type.

All Jaguar F-TYPEs in the lineup now comes standard with model-specific 20 "standard wheels, with the F-TYPE 75 sporting Gloss Black 5-spoke wheels and the R 75 rolling on Gloss Black Diamond Turned 10-spoke wheels.

Sliding downhill into the F-narrow TYPE's LED taillights, the trunk area emphasizes the car's dramatic, purposeful appearance. The Jaguar F-TYPE makes its ambitions apparent with the powertrain-specific tailpipes that protrude from the rear diffuser. Both the 450-hp F-TYPE 75 and the 575-hp F-TYPE R 75 V8 have quadruple exterior tailpipes, with the latter featuring a subtly carved R badging. The four-cylinder variants have a single central tailpipe.

The F-cabin TYPE was designed with the driver in mind, showcasing the vehicle's sophistication and performance in the purest form. Jaguar's outstanding craftsmanship, attention to detail, and use of high-quality materials and finishes elevate the luxury and performance experience.

The cockpit features a 12.3-inch interactive driver display that can be changed to a variety of themes; the default setup, befitting a genuine sports car, is typified by a vast central tachometer.

Jagur F-TYPE

This feature, together with the shifting light, subtly communicates the F-personality TYPEs and performance potential and digitally optimizes the mechanical expression, which is manifest in the pulsating red "heartbeat" of the start button and the retractable center jets.

The unique silhouette motif on the Engine Spin center console and stainless steel door sills of the F-TYPE 75 and R 75 models stands out, while the Interior Black Pack adds an additional understated touch.

The Jaguar F-TYPE is still the gold standard for driver-focused, exciting sports vehicles. Outstanding maneuverability and seamless connectivity are guaranteed by the double-wishbone front and rear suspension, finely adjusted Electric Power Steering (EPAS), and Torque Vectoring by Braking. These features are essential for the car to react instantly and instinctively to the driver's commands.

The Jaguar F-TYPE 75 and Jaguar R 75 have Jaguar's Adaptive Dynamics system with Configurable Dynamics, while all four-cylinder 300 hp F-TYPE models use finely calibrated mono-pipe dampers to produce the driving characteristics that give these cars their particular character. Adaptive Dynamics uses electronically controlled, continuously variable dampers to maximize low-speed comfort and high-speed control, while Configurable Dynamics enables the driver to adjust suspension stiffness, steering weight, throttle response, and gear changes to their own preferences.

Differentiating features include 20-inch wheels on every F-TYPE wheel. There is a base model and three upgrade packages for each vehicle, with the R 75 even having the option of forged wheels. The specially developed Pirelli P Zero tires (265/35/ZR20 up front and 305/30/ZR20 out back) provide the R 75 the performance prowess befitting its status as the brand's performance flagship.

Jaguar's Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) braking system is available as an option for the F-TYPE R 75. This system features front and rear discs of 398mm and 380mm, respectively, and is equipped with six and four-piston monobloc calipers with a striking yellow finish.

The Jaguar F-TYPE offers a wide variety of potent, sporty engines, including four- and eight-cylinder variants with power outputs ranging from 300 hp to 575 hp. Each one is coupled to a Quickshift transmission with eight speeds, and it may be controlled manually via the SportShift gear selection or paddles on the steering wheel. Jaguar Land Rover's Engine Manufacturing Center is located in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom, and it is there that all engines are produced.

The distinctive rear-wheel drive and 300-horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Ingenium turbo engine produce peak torque at 1,500 rpm and provide impressive responsiveness across the rev range. It also provides the performance one would expect from an F-TYPE, with a 0-100 km/h time of 5.6 seconds and a maximum speed of 250 km/h.

By keeping the electrically driven bypass valves in the rear muffler closed until they open under load, the F-trademark TYPE's roar is muted during the beginning process, making the vehicle more appealing to customers who prefer a more subdued and refined driving experience. In order to disable Quiet Start, you can switch to Dynamic Mode or press the exhaust button in its usual position before starting the engine.

As the company proudly progresses toward an all-electric future beginning in 2025, the first customer deliveries will begin in January 2023, marking 75 years of Jaguar sports cars.

Jaguar Land Rover's cutting-edge engine manufacturing facility in Wolverhampton, UK, produces the four-cylinder and V8 engines for the F-TYPE.
