Cupra officials have announced that they have delivered the first Leon Competicion copies. We are talking about two units that go in the garage of the Scuderia del Girasole team by Cupra Racing and that will debut in the 2020 TCR Italy series. The first stage of the TCR Italy series will take place on the Mugello circuit.

Under the hood of the Cupra Leon Competicion is the 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that develops 340 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 410 Nm. Engine resources are managed by a six-speed sequential transmission.

Cupra Leon Competicion can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds. Top speed is limited to 260 km / h.

With the new Leon Competicion, Cupra also introduced a series of elements built with a 3D printer. On the list of news, the Spaniards put the housings of the side mirrors, the air intake frames and the pipes of the cooling system. Cupra officials communicate that these components withstand speeds of up to 290 km / h and are lighter than conventional ones.
