The new Porsche 911 Carrera is certainly not the classic "basic" version that we mere mortals are used to.
The Porsche 911 family welcomes new members: the new Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe and Cabrio comes with 385 horsepower as entry-level versions.
The cars are powered by a six-cylinder 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer engine. It develops 385 horsepower, with 15 more than the previous generation.
The cars run on 19-inch light alloy wheels with 235/40 ZR tires, while the mixed configuration brings 20-inch wheels with 295/35 ZR tires on the rear axle. Optional 21-inch wheels are available. The brake discs on both axles measure 330 millimeters.
911 Carrera Coupe accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 293 km / h. The optional Sport Chrono package makes it faster by 0.2 seconds. Porsche passes a consumption of 9.0 l / 100 km for the coupe version, while the cabriolet consumes 9.2 l / 100 km.
There is no shortage of advanced driver assistance systems, including the Porsche Wet Mode (which improves handling in poor grip conditions), the Night Vision (an infrared camera system to see the images projected on the instrument display in the dark ), adaptive Cruise Control with stop & go and Emergency Assist .
The new Porsche 911 Carrera can already be ordered at a price of 108,139 euros (122,779 euros for the 911 Carrera Cabriolet).
