Peugeot RCZ will receive a 270 hp version. This is called RCZ R and will be presented to the public at the Goodwood Speed Festival. The 1.6 THP engine of the Peugeot RCZ R emits only 145 grams of CO2 per kilometer, exceptionally little compared to the developed power. The engine delivers a maximum torque of 330 Nm between 1,900 and 5,500 rpm.

The power/weight ratio of the Peugeot RCZ R is 4.7 kilograms per horsepower, while the engine produces 170 hp per liter, one of the best values in the segment for a production engine, particularly since the unit meets Euro 6 standards. The Peugeot RCZ R will have a six-speed manual transmission.
