Jaguar has prepared a series of tiny changes for the E-Pace. The British manufacturer's SUV has discreet exterior improvements, a new interior and a new range of engines with mild-hybrid versions.
The design changes prepared by Jaguar are not major. The front grille has a chrome frame, larger air intakes and headlights with a new bright signature. Those who want to give up the chrome body elements will be able to opt for the Black Exterior package.
On the interior, Jaguar has introduced a new touch screen display dedicated to the infotainment system. It is curved and has a diagonal of 11.4 inches, it integrates the Pivi Pro operating system and can be updated over-the-air. The British propose a steering wheel with a new design, and the 12.3-inch digital onboard instrumentation remains an optional feature. Instead of the central rearview mirror, you can order the ClearSight digital system that uses a camcorder and a screen. Upholstery has also improved.
The range of engines includes diesel and gasoline units that also have mild-hybrid systems. The range of engines includes diesel and petrol units that also have mild-hybrid systems.
Jaguar E-Pace's basic model uses a 2.0 litres diesel engine, which develops 163 horsepower. It will be available either with a six-speed manual transmission or with a nine-speed automatic transmission (AWD version only). The second diesel engine also has 2.0 litres but it develops 204 horsepower and is offered only with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
For those who prefer a gasoline engine, all engines have a capacity of 2.0 litres, and the power versions are 200hp, 249hp and 300hp. These are equipped as standard with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system.
The Jaguar E-Pace also receives the P300e version, a hybrid plug-in (PHEV) powertrain that uses a 1.5-litre gasoline engine (200 hp) and an electric motor located on the rear axle. The combined power of the system is 309 hp. The electric range is 55 km. The electric engine is powered by a 15 kWh battery.
