Audi Sport has released another limited edition surprise. The Audi RS 3 Performance Edition was designed with maximum performance, having a power output of 407 hp and a top speed of 300 km/h. Aside from the thunderous five-cylinder engine, RS torque splitter, and ceramic brakes, the special edition has RS shell seats for excellent lateral support and a slew of exclusive aesthetic features. The Audi RS 3 Performance Edition model will be limited to 300 units.

With 300 km/h, the Audi RS 3 Performance Edition is stronger and faster than the standard model with RS Dynamics Package plus. The award-winning and thunderous 5-cylinder turbo now produces 407 hp and a peak torque of 500Nm. The 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission enables quick, uninterrupted shifting. 0 to 100 km/h takes 3.8 seconds with a sporty gear ratio and launch control.

The power is accentuated by the distinctive sound of the 5-cylinder engine, which has an ignition sequence of 1-2-4-5-3. The RS sports exhaust system, which comes with a redesigned center silencer and glossy black oval tailpipes, produces a dynamic and strong sound. The exhaust has been slightly modified for the RS 3 performance edition. When Audi drive selection is set to Dynamic, RS Performance, or RS Torque Rear, the exhaust damper opens further when the car is stationary, amplifying the sound.

The RS Torque Splitter improves stability and agility by reducing understeer during aggressive driving. This is accomplished through two electronically controlled multi-plate clutches that actively and variably divide drive torque across the rear wheels. The complete rear wheel drive torque can be sent to the outer wheel in the RS Torque Rear mode, allowing drifting on interrupted tracks. Torque is split across the rear wheels when combined with RS Performance Mode. This results in nearly neutral road characteristics with little understeer and oversteer, providing optimal performance on the racing circuit. For faster lap times, you can accelerate earlier at the end of the bend.

The Audi RS 3 Performance Edition is available with semi-slick Pirelli P Zero "Trofeo R" tires - 265/35 on the front axle and 245/35 on the rear axle. The performance tires provide excellent traction on dry terrain due to the specific rubber formula and asymmetric tread, which promotes stability and lateral grip. The semi-slicks are mounted on motorsport-style cast aluminum rims. The special edition has new dark gray matt lacquered 19" rims with a distinctive ten-cross pattern and RS emblem. Behind this are hidden 6-piston ceramic brakes, with front axle discs measuring 380 x 38 mm. The high-performance brakes are ten kilograms lighter and more heat resistant than the steel brakes, thanks to a specifically designed pedal curve on the brake power amplifier. The lowering of unsprung mass provides benefits in active driving.

When unlocked and locked, the Matrix LED headlights are dark-tinted, and the LED taillights have an RS-specific style. The digital daytime running lights are made up of 15 LED parts and display the checkered banner on the passenger side and the 3-0-0 on the driver's side - owing to the restricted number of units.

Even the interior has been specially designed for this model. Shell seats are standard in the Audi RS 3 for the first time, providing the finest lateral support during aggressive driving. The central piece of the seat is embellished with a contrasting blue honeycomb pattern. Dinamica microfiber is used throughout, with pearl Nappa leather on the side portions. The huge RS emblem is visible under the headrest, emphasizing the unique model's athletic character, as does the carbon fiber-covered backrest. In addition to the blue seat belts, there is contrasting blue stitching on the center armrest, door armrests, and steering wheel.
