BMW X5 M50i and BMW X7 M50i receive the new 530hp V8 engine equipped with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology. Both models benefit from the BMW xDrive integral traction system and suspension technology developed with the support of BMW M GmbH.
The engine generates a maximum torque of 750 Nm from 1,800 rpm and remains available up to 4,600 rpm. The maximum level of 530 hp is activated between 5,500 and 6,000 rpm. Therefore, the new BMW X5 M50i is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.3 seconds. The new BMW X7 M50i does the race in 4.7 seconds.
The new V8 engine is combined standard with an eight-speed Steptronic sports gear, characterized by dynamic gear shift characteristics. The Launch Control feature enables optimized traction acceleration with a maximum dynamic performance from the start.
The BMW X5 M50i and BMW X7 M50i will be produced in August 2019 at the BMW plant in Spartanburg (USA) and will be available from autumn this year.
