The BMW 4 Series Convertible design language is an unmistakable silhouette and elegance with balanced proportions. The interior roof is fully upholstered and has interior lights contributing to the atmosphere that the client expects from a top premium sports coupe. Low and sports seats provide more space for the head, and more leg space in the back compared to the previous model.

BMW 4 Series Convertible can be ordered with an in-line six-cylinder petrol engine (BMW 435i Convertible), a four-cylinder petrol engine (BMW 428i Convertible) and a four-cylinder diesel (BMW 420d Convertible). These engines cover a performance range of between 184 hp and 306 hp and feature the latest BMW TwinPower Turbo technology. The engine power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox. BMW also provides automatic transmission for all engines.
