The Germans from BMW continues to electrify its model range, preparing 225xe for BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and 330E for BMW 3 Series.
The BMW 225xe, powertrain consists of a 1.5-liter petrol engine that drives the front wheels (via a six-speed automatic) and an electric motor positioned on the rear axle, which drives the rear wheels which means that there is practically an electrified wheel drive. Total system power is 224 hp and torque of 385 Nm. With these power values, the Germans say that the compact van can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 202 km / h in hybrid mode.
Lithium-ion battery provides a maximum range of 41 km in 100% (with the combustion engine switched off) electric mode and can be fully charged from zero in just three hours and 15 minutes from a regular household outlet.
