BMW C1-E is what a reliable, environment-friendly and extremely efficient single track vehicle for city traffic. It is distinguished by a remarkably high level of active and passive safety and is propelled by an electric motor.
The BMW C1-E implements excellent security for its rider. This is guaranteed by the safety cell with the renowned roll-over bar which dynamically spans the rider seat in union with the energy-absorbing impact element at the nose end. An extra unique feature is that the C1-E rider wears a seat-belt.
The concept vehicle displays brand ideal sheer driving fun and obviously differentiates itself from typical scooter looks.
The electric motor used has been invented for city use and is based on parts made by the company Vectrix. The motor gets its power from a lithium-ion battery and therefore holds enough power for mastering most inner-city traffic riding with ease. BMW C1-E could also be equipped with an efficient, low-emissions internal combustion engine.
The benefit of two-wheeled transportation is that it gives a great occasion for adjusting the flow of traffic in urban locations.
