McLaren 765LT: lighter, faster and more powerful

McLaren 765LT sports car

McLaren introduced the circuit version of the 720S. It's called the McLaren 765LT and it's lighter, faster and more powerful than the 720S.  LT comes from Long Tail and the story begins with the McLaren F1 GTR in the '90s and continues with the new generation models launched in 2015 being perfectly legal for the road.

McLaren 765LT

The McLaren 765LT is lighter and more powerful than the McLaren 720S. With 765 hp and a weight of 1,339 kg, it is 45 hp more powerful and 80 kg lighter than McLaren 720S. The 80 kg weight decrease was made possible by using the all-carbon LT aerodynamic package: front bumper, front floor, side sills, rear bumper, rear diffuser and rear exhaust wing.

McLaren 765LT has very strong LT springs and shock absorbers that cancel virtually any roller and the sensational Proactive Chassis Control suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers and without anti-roll bars.

McLaren 765LT

The sports supercar runs on advanced light-alloy wheels with 10 spokes, titanium bolts and Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres and the braking is provided by the ceramic discs taken from McLaren Senna. The carbon-ceramic brake system, which allows you to stop the 765 LT from 100 km / h in just 29.5 meters.

Beyond the slightly higher power, Mclaren says that the most impressive is the instant response of the M840T twin-turbo V8 engine and a 15% faster speed than the 720S. The peak power is 765 hp at 7,500 r / min and maximum torque of 800 Nm at 5,500 r / min.

McLaren 765LT

The 765 LT is able to reach 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds and 200 km / h in 7.2 seconds.

The interior of the new McLaren 765LT is a tempting combination of generous interior space and excellent ergonomics. We observe the carbon-fibre racing seats, the carbon fibre floor. For better comfort, the racing seats are upholstered in Alcantara.

Only 765 copies will be built and 17 bright colors will be available.

Normal maintenance intervals for the 765LT are one year or 20,000 km, whichever comes first. The McLaren vehicle warranty covers the vehicle for three years from the purchase with no mileage limits, while the paint surface is guaranteed for three years. The McLaren 765LT is also eligible for the McLaren extended warranty, allowing you to cover the car for up to 12 years.
