According to the jury, the visionary Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid is the best 4x4 from the 2022 Women's World Car of the Year (WWCOTY) awards. At the WWCOTY, the vehicles are evaluated according to the criteria of safety, handling, comfort, technology, design, efficiency, environmental compatibility, and value for money. In addition, the award judges praised the new Wrangler 4xe for its contribution to sustainability.

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe's 280 kW (380 hp) hybrid powertrain combines a 2-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged engine with two electric motors, a high-voltage battery pack, and a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. The torque of the electric motors in the Wrangler 4xe is immediately available on demand. The powertrain also enables efficient, seamless engine start-stop operation.
