Toyota finally brings the new GR Supra 2.0L with a 2-litre turbocharged engine to Europe alongside the version with a 3-litre engine. This sporty model will be available in the SZ-R version only. Those interested in getting their hands on this new car will have to prepare to take out 55,900 euros from their wallets.
Toyota GR Supra is characterized by a much lower weight than the version of last year and a different weight balance. The lighter and more compact engine, combined with some technical features, have enabled Japanese technicians and engineers to reduce the vehicle weight by as much as 100 kilograms and to move the position of the same engine towards the centre of gravity of the car.
The car has an ideal 50:50 front-rear weight balance. This translates into reactivity, agility and handling.
The new 2.0-litre engine is a 16-valve DOHC in-line four-cylinder engine is capable of delivering 258 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. Thanks to the eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, the Toyota GR Supra offers true sports performance: the top speed is electronically limited to a maximum of 250 kilometres per hour while accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 5.2 seconds. CO2 emissions are between 135 and 144 g / km (related NEDC data) and between 156 and 172 g / km (WLTP values).
The Toyota GR Supra 2.0L SZ-R model features 18-inch alloy wheels, Alcantara sports seats, Toyota Supra Connect infotainment system controlled by the 8.8-inch touch display (with satellite navigation), red disc brake callipers and various safety features.
