The Alpine A110 is one of the most iconic sports cars of all time. It was born in the 1960s as a lightweight, agile, and beautiful machine that dominated the rally scene and won the first ever World Rally Championship in 1973. It also had a remarkable history at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it competed in various forms from 1963 to 1978, scoring several class wins and podium finishes.

To celebrate the centenary of the legendary endurance race, Alpine has created a special edition of its modern A110, the 2023 Alpine A110 R Le Mans Limited Edition. This is not just a cosmetic package, but a true homage to the spirit and heritage of the original A110 that raced at Le Mans.

What Makes It Special?

The 2023 Alpine A110 R Le Mans Limited Edition is based on the A110S, the most powerful and sporty version of the current A110 lineup. It features a 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 292 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 161 mph.

But what sets it apart from the regular A110S are the exclusive details that pay tribute to the Le Mans legacy. The exterior is painted in Alpine Blue, the brand's signature color, with contrasting Orange accents on the front bumper, side skirts, rear diffuser, and brake calipers. The car also features a carbon fiber roof with an orange stripe, a carbon fiber rear wing with an Alpine logo, and 18-inch black Fuchs forged wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires.

The interior is equally stunning, with black leather, Alcantara upholstery, orange stitching, carbon fiber trim, and a numbered plaque on the center console. The seats are also embossed with the Alpine logo and feature orange seat belts. The sports car comes with a premium Focal audio system, a rearview camera, parking sensors, and a telemetry system that records lap times and performance data.

The 2023 Alpine A110 R Le Mans Limited Edition also comes with a unique accessory: a bespoke Bell helmet that matches the car’s color scheme and has an Alpine logo on the front. The helmet is designed to fit perfectly in the car’s trunk, with a dedicated space.

How Limited Is It?

The 2023 Alpine A110 R Le Mans Limited Edition is limited to just 100 units worldwide, making it one of the rarest and most desirable Alpines ever made. Each car will have a unique number engraved on a plaque on the dashboard, as well as on the key fob and the helmet.

The car will be available for order starting from 2023. The price is set at €79,000 (about $89,000), which is €10,000 (about $11,000) more than the regular A110S but cheaper than the Alpine A110 Pikes Peak.

Why Should You Care?

The 2023 Alpine A110 R Le Mans Limited Edition is more than just a car. It is a piece of history, a tribute to a legend, and a statement of passion. It is a car that honors the past while embracing the present and looking forward to the future.
