The 56-year-old Ford Mustang is the world's best-selling sports car, for the fifth year in a row. All over the world, from London to New York, more and more people who love to drive are enjoying the feeling of freedom with the new Mustangs.
According to IHS Markit, 102,090 Mustangs were sold during 2019. In Europe, 9,900 Ford Mustangs were sold in 2019, an increase of 3% compared to the previous year. Mustang sales increased by 33 per cent in Germany and nearly 50 per cent in Poland. In France, sales nearly doubled. The Mustang is America's best-selling sports car for the past 50 years, based on a study by Ford of the cumulative all-sports listing data provided by IHS Markit.
The Ford Mustang is available in Europe as a fastback and convertible sports model. Engine choices include a 449-horsepower V8 petrol engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission or six-speed manual transmission, and a 291-horsepower 2.3-liter EcoBoost petrol engine with a six-speed manual transmission. The Mustang BULLITT special model’s 5.0-litre V8 engine delivers 460 horsepower.
