Jeep unveils the new Grand Cherokee

The new Jeep Grand Cherokee, the SUV's flagship model, was recently presented in the United States. Since its debut in 1992, the SUV has gone through five generations. Meanwhile, more than 7 million copies have been sold, and it has become the world's most award-winning SUV. The new issue includes various news in all categories, giving cause to assume that the Grand Cherokee has not yet earned its final prize. It will be available at North American dealers by the end of 2021, and it will be available in Europe in the second part of 2022.

The new Grand Cherokee's exterior design is fresh, as is the interior and architecture in general - and it comes with a new driveline in the shape of the Grand Cherokee 4xe, which is a plug-in hybrid. Although there is a lot of news, it stays true to its core values, including high comfort, space, and practicality, and good 4x4 properties in the terrain. All this is thanks to the 4x4 systems Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive I, as well as Quadra air suspension and Selec-Terrain. The new Grand Cherokee has a ground clearance of up to 28.7 cm and can cross water up to a depth of 61 cm, thanks to the air suspension.

The new design allows the Grand Cherokee to be electrified and converted into a plug-in hybrid. The Grand Cherokee 4xe is powered by an electric motor, a 400-volt 400.2 kWh battery, a 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe has 375 horsepower and a range of 637 miles. The battery is hidden beneath the floor and takes up no room in the cabin. All electrical components are securely secured and sealed, and the battery has its heating/cooling system to guarantee that the working temperature is ideal regardless of the weather.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe has regenerative braking, which recovers energy for the battery while braking. In addition to the 4xe plug-in hybrid version, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee is available with a V6 engine with 293 horsepower and a 5.7-liter V8 engine with 357 hp.

The new Grand Cherokee features a more contemporary and updated appearance on the outside. The redesigned roof improves aerodynamics without sacrificing interior space, and the new windows let more light into the car while also providing a better perspective. In addition, the distinctive radiator grille with seven stripes has widened, as has the wheelbase, making the Jeep Grand Cherokee more maneuverable.

The cutting-edge infotainment system Uconnect 5, which includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, improves driving comfort. Furthermore, a broad selection of solutions and features are available, including a digital rearview mirror, a 10-inch full-color head-up display in the windscreen, wireless smartphone charging, and a McIntosh sound system with 19 speakers.

The new Jeep Grand Cherokee is the most technologically sophisticated vehicle ever produced. It has many safety features as standard, including collision warning with active braking and pedestrian and cyclist identification, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning with dynamic steering, blind-spot alert, and parking camera. There is also the option of a night camera with pedestrian and animal detection and a 360-degree camera with windshield wipers. Level 2 autonomous driving is also a possibility.
