Skoda has started deliveries of its Enyaq iV electric SUV. The first Enyaq iV went to a house in Norway. After the start of deliveries in the Scandinavian markets, Western and Central Europe will follow from May and June 2021.
As Skoda official announced, the Espelund Talsæte family received the electric car from the dealer in Moss. "I am pleased that our first all-electric SUV was able to convince the family and I wish them a good and safe journey and lots of fun with their new Enyaq iV," says Sales Director Martin Jahn. "With this model, we are rolling out e-mobility at Skoda."
Skoda does not specify in the announcement which version was delivered. At the start of the order, the Enyaq iV 60 and 80 variants were available with rear-wheel drive and with 58 kWh or 77 kWh battery capacity. The basic Skoda Enyaq iV 50 electric SUV with a 52 kWh battery can now also be ordered. The two all-wheel-drive models are not yet available.
Skoda does not clarify the delivery times for the electric SUV in the announcement for the first delivery. Skoda manager, Thomas Schäfer, said in an interview with AutoBild in mid-April that there are “significantly more than 20,000 pre-orders”. "The incoming orders are much higher than we expected," says Schäfer. This is why production in Mladá Boleslav is to be expanded from the originally planned 350 electric cars per day asap to 500 electric vehicles.
In Germany, the Enyaq iV has been on display at dealerships since last week. As confirmed by Sales Director Jahn, deliveries should start in a few weeks. Prices for Skoda Enyaq iV start at 33,800 euros before funding. The Skoda Enyaq iV 60 is has a price list of 38,850 euros. For the Skoda Enyaq iV 80, you need to pay at least 43,950 euros. The prices for the upcoming Skoda Enyaq iV with all-wheel-drive variants are not yet known. @via skoda-media.de.
