The all-new Mercedes-AMG C 63 SE PERFORMANCE has been unveiled. An electric motor behind the rear wheels works in tandem with the vehicle's 2-liter gasoline engine to generate a combined 680 hp and 1020 Nm of torque. A combination of its 204 hp electric motor and 476 hp petrol engine allows Mercedes-AMG C 63 SE PERFORMANCE to go from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3.4 seconds. It doesn't matter if you get a sports sedan or a station wagon.

Changes are made when the experts at AMG in Affalterbach start chewing on a new automobile model. The recent Mercedes-Benz AMG C 63 SE PERFORMANCE is more evident than ever before. A four-cylinder engine is used for the first time in an AMG-designed C-Class, although adding an extra electric motor more than makes up for this. An electric motor mounted behind the vehicle's back axle can boost its power by 204 hp. Considering that the four-cylinder engine produces 238 hp/liter (476 hp total) for a complete system output of 680 hp, this is the most powerful engine in the world and has a massive 1020 Nm of torque.

According to the "One Man, One Engine" philosophy, the gasoline engine is constructed by hand, just like every other AMG engine. Both the engine's exhaust gases and the vehicle's 400-volt electrical system power the turbo. A mechanism permits the turbo to be "spun up" electrically at high speeds before the exhaust gases take over.

A rear axle with dynamic steering is another new feature of this model. New Drift mode in the transmission allows for this, redefining "driving pleasure" in the process.

AMG created the car's proprietary battery system in tandem with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team's extensive experience with hybrid technology.

The 6.1 kWh battery has a very high energy density because it only weighs 89 kg (1.7 kW/kg). It has been designed to be repeatedly charged and discharged rapidly. Something that was made feasible, in part, by a sophisticated temperature control system. The charging software constantly monitors the battery's capacity for a kick-down.

The hybrid system's primary function is to improve fuel economy; however, the hybrid car can go for up to 13 kilometers solely on electric power. You can also use a 3.7 kWh cable to charge your automobile.

Since it utilizes hybrid technology, the combined fuel economy for city and highway driving is unchanged at 6.9 l/100 km.

The new Mercedes-Benz AMG C 63 SE PERFORMANCE hybrid car is more than just a technological marvel. The overall length is 8 centimeters longer than a standard C-Class, with a front end that's 5 centimeters longer. The front track width has been enlarged, which results in a width increase of up to 7.6 centimeters.

The Mercedes-AMG C 63 SE PERFORMANCE is to sell in December. Beginning in 2023, customers can expect to receive their first Mercedes-AMG hybrid vehicles.
