The Elantra has also received excellent safety ratings, including a five-star frontal and four-star side crash rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in the compact passenger car segment. In the IIHS's frontal offset test, the Elantra earned a "Good" rating, the Institute's highest accolade. With the addition of a standard Tire Pressure Monitoring System and a comprehensive set of airbags, the Elantra offers a safe and secure driving experience.

In terms of design, the 2010 Elantra exudes confidence and style. With its chrome headlight bezels, waterfall chrome grille, and chrome rear trim, the Elantra makes a premium statement.
