Jeep Renegade is the best-selling SUV from Jeep in Europe, and now it has a new variant with plug-in hybrid technology. Electrification is a crucial piece in the development of the Jeeps brand, where the core values are still adventure, authenticity, freedom and passion. With its hybrid technology, Jeep Renegade 4xe, is the most efficient Jeep ever.
Although it can go anywhere, it is also ideal for city driving, where the hybrid technology allows you to drive up to 50 km without local CO2 emissions.
Jeep Renegade 4xe is a plug-in hybrid and a 4x4 without compromise. For example, four-wheel drive is always available, regardless of whether the battery is charged or not, and the car emits less than 50 g CO2 per km (NEDC), even though the engine package delivers up to 240 hp.
Jeep Renegade has a 1.3-litre petrol engine and an electric motor located between the rear wheels. The battery pack is 11.4 kWh, and it can be charged by the petrol engine or by cable - either from a 230 V socket or with easyWallbox from Jeep or the more advanced Jeep ConnectedWallbox. Renegade 4xe can of course also be charged from public charging stations.
The petrol engine delivers 130 or 180 hp and the electric motor provides 60 hp. Thus, the total output is either 190 hp (Limited) or 240 hp (Trailhawk and S). The electric motor delivers 250 Nm, while up to 270 Nm comes from the internal combustion engine. The combination of the two units ensures superior performance: 0-100 km / h is completed in just 7.5 seconds, while the top speed is 200 km / h in hybrid mode and 130 km / h exclusively on battery.
The new Jeep Renegade 4xe is available in three equipment levels - Limited, S and Trailhawk. All versions have four-wheel drive, a six-speed automatic transmission and a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine that works alongside an electric motor on the rear axle. All three equipment levels have three driving programs: Electric, Hybrid and E-Save. Electric is the pure electric drive, perfect for city, Hybrid provides maximum efficiency, and E-Save saves the battery, so you can run purely electric later on the trip.
Renegade 4xe is in vogue when it comes to connecting telephones and app control. The model is equipped with different packages: My assistant, My Car, My Remote and My eCharge. From the mobile app My Uconnect you can see the charging of the battery and plan to charge - including control of the air conditioner e.g. while the Renegade plug-in hybrid is charging. The purchase of My Wifi, Theft Assistance and My Fleet Manager has also been opened.
Jeep Renegade 4xe starts from 38,955 euros for a well-equipped Limited version, while the sporty S like the off-road agile Jeep Renegade Trailhawk costs 44,327 euros.
