Volkswagen takes one of its famous models and develops it from the ground up as a passenger car, packing it with all of the Volkswagen Group's latest technology advancements. The all-new Volkswagen Multivan is available as a charging hybrid, and sales begin today. The new VW Multivan is available with two distinct powertrains. The Volkswagen Multivan eHybrid is powered by a 1.4-liter TSI engine rated at 110 kW and an electric motor rated at 85 kW for a total system output of 160 kW / 218 hp. The 10.4 kWh battery gives an electric range of up to 49 km. Charging from 0 to 100% takes 3.6 hours with a 3.6 kW AC charge. The Volkswagen Multivan eHybrid will be the first vehicle to be built in Hanover, with the first automobiles arriving in Sweden in early 2022. A diesel variant with 150 horsepower will also be available until the summer of next year. Both variants are only available with DSG automatic transmission and may be purchased from now on.
The new Multivan is also available in 497 cm and 517 cm, but with the same wheelbase. Also, the minivan is now 190 cm lower and somewhat narrower than previously. Inside, however, the height and breadth remain the same as its predecessor, allowing for plenty of space for up to 7 people. Luggage volume (up to the roof) ranges from 469 liters in the short version with seven seats to 4,053 liters in the extended version with the second and third-row seats enclosed. The maximum towing weight for a Volkswagen Multivan eHybrid is 1,600 kg and 2,000 kg for a TDI 150.
There are three various equipment levels to select from, and the Volkswagen Multivan base version already has about everything you might want in a modern automobile. Parking heaters, LED headlights and taillights, digital dashboards, and 10-inch infotainment with App-connect and DAB radio, Keyless Go, Cruise control, Front and Lane Assist are just a few of the features that come standard. The "Life" level adds a lot of extra design elements and clever storage compartments, as well as USB-C connections throughout the car. Other features of the Life edition include parking sensors, electrically adjustable lumbar support, armrests, light and visibility packages, and a closing assist for the side doors. Finally, the most opulent version is named "Style," and it comes with LED Matrix headlights with a light strip in the grille, an external chrome package, interior mood lighting, 3-zone temperature control, motorized side doors, and Art-Velor chair upholstery.
The new Volkswagen Multivan eHybrid costs 51,000 euros, and for VW Multivan TDI 150 the price starts at 41,000 euros (including VAT). @via VW.
