Jaguar Classic is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the iconic E-TYPE with a special collection of six matched pairs of restored and modified sports cars. The E-TYPE ZP Collection pays tribute to the first racing series of the E-TYPE, which debuted in 1961 at the Geneva Motor Show and won numerous races worldwide.

The Jaguar E-TYPE ZP Collection is inspired by two of the most famous examples of the E-TYPE: the 9600 HP and the 77 RW. The 9600 HP was a prototype coupe that was driven from Coventry to Geneva by Jaguar's test driver Norman Dewis just hours before its unveiling. The 77 RW was a roadster that was used for demonstration drives by Jaguar's founder Sir William Lyons.

Each pair of the E-TYPE ZP Collection consists of a coupe and a roadster, both finished in bespoke colors and fitted with exclusive features. The coupe is painted in Flat Out Grey, a color that evokes the 9600 HP's original hue, while the roadster is painted in Drop Everything Green, a color that reflects the urgency of the 77 RW's journey to Geneva. Both cars have black leather interiors with contrasting stitching and aluminum trim.

The Jaguar E-TYPE ZP Collection also incorporates some modern enhancements to improve performance, comfort, and reliability. The cars are powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six engine that has been upgraded to produce 285 horsepower, up from 265 horsepower in the original models. The engine is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox that offers smoother shifts and better durability than the original four-speed unit.

The cars also feature upgraded cooling systems, electronic ignition systems, stainless steel exhaust systems, and power steering. The suspension has been tuned for better handling and ride quality, while the brakes have been upgraded with four-piston calipers and vented discs. The wheels are 15-inch replicas of the original Dunlop alloys but with modern tires for improved grip.

The Jaguar E-TYPE ZP Collection also boasts some unique details that distinguish it from other E-TYPEs. The cars have engraved plaques on the door sills and under the bonnet that commemorates their heritage and authenticity. The cars also have special badges on the front grille, rear bumper, fuel filler cap, and steering wheel that feature a stylized "ZP" logo.

The cars also come with a tailor-made accessories package that includes a leather-trimmed luggage set, a tool roll, a jack, a car cover, and a certificate of authenticity. The package also includes a bespoke watch from Bremont, a British luxury watchmaker that has collaborated with Jaguar Classic on several occasions. The watch features a dial inspired by the E-Type's tachometer, a winding crown that resembles the car's spinner wheel nut, and a strap made from the same leather as the car's interior.

Jaguar E-TYPE ZP Collection

The E-TYPE ZP Collection is limited to only six pairs of cars, each priced at $1.2 million USD (8.9 million NOK). The cars are hand-built by Jaguar Classic's expert craftsmen at its facility in Warwickshire, England, where they restore and modify classic Jaguars to customer specifications.

The Jaguar E-TYPE ZP Collection is a fitting tribute to one of the most iconic and influential sports cars of all time. The E-TYPE was not only a stunning design that captured the imagination of millions of people but also a formidable racing machine that dominated its class in various competitions. The E-TYPE ZP Collection celebrates both aspects of the car's legacy and offers a rare opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to own a piece of Jaguar history.
