The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid has been recognized as the most environmentally friendly 4x4 by the respected trade publication Green Car Journal. The winners were announced in this month's annual San Antonio Auto issue. Stellantis has pledged to cut its worldwide carbon footprint by half by 2030 as part of its Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan and to lead the transportation industry to net zero carbon emissions by 2038.

The PHEV system in the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe plig-in SUV combines a cutting-edge 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with two electric motors, a high-voltage battery pack, and an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission to provide up to 30 miles of all-electric range and up to 32 miles in the city.
